Good Monday Evening, Blog Pals:
Got an e.mail from my cousin Patti today and I must share the context of it with you. It is hysterical and right on the money. This is a quote from David Brinkley's book "The Reagan Diaries". It is dated May 17, 1986. See if you don't agree with President Reagan's assesment of this situation.
"A moment I've been dreading. George brought his ne'er do well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida; the one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I'll call Kinsley over at the New Republic and see if they'll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work."
If only this book would have come out before the 2000 election. I'll bet Ronny is rolling over knowing this moron now occupies the Oval Office. He hit the nail right on the head, though didn't he?
