Film icon Charlton Heston passed away yesterday. He was 84 and known for such epic roles as Moses in "The Ten Commandments, the title role in "Ben Hur", Michelangelo in "The Agony and the Ecstasy"  and Taylor the unfortunate astronaut in "Planet of the Apes" (all four films are among the Bugg All Time Fav Films). In his later life, Mr. Heston became president of the National Rifle Association and a spokesman and symbol for gun ownership, vowing they could take his gun when they pried it from his "cold, dead hands." A sentiment with which I agree.  Larger than life, in his film roles and in life, Mr. Heston's passing marks the end of an era. He'll be missed for sure.
