More Baby Shennanigans, Weather Complaints
Good Friday Morn, Greasers:
Well, we got a crapload of snow here in Devil's Asshole. A crapload here means about four inches. And it is colder than a witch's tit/welldigger's bum/frigid woman with a ice cube up her ass; take yer pick. Jethrene and babies stranded up that holler they live in. I checked in with them yesterday and they have all essensials, food, juice, diapers, wipies, dog food, coffee and cigarettes. I guess Crazy Sis came by and made an emergency drop. Her mini van is a wee bit better at negotiating the steep hill than Jethrene's sport's car. Jethrene either needs to get herself a four wheel drive or move, one. Unfortunately, as a poor college student, either of those alternatives is a bit out of her reach right now.
Dawn is breaking here now. Yet another gloomy day appears to be in the ofting. It's a wonder I don't go stick my head in the microwave. Ah well, I keep reminding myself that spring is only about a month away.
For those of you who don't know, Jethrene is my niece. She is my brother Bubba's youngest child. She has two children who are the lights of my life, Daisy May is three and Jethro is two. Daisy is such a comical child. Well, Jethor is too but... Case in point; Last week Daisy had a doctor's appointment. At the doctor's office they needed a urine sample so Daisy had her first experience at peeing in a cup. She was very impressed with this procedure. Ever since she's been trumpeting to all and sundry "I peed in a cup". So Jethrene reports that the other day, when they were all sitting around in the living room, Daisy decides she wants to play "doctor's office". She gets a pad of paper, a crayon and sits down in front of her mother and brother. She askes their names and pretends to write them on the pad. Then she hands them a cup from her play dishes and sez "pee in this cup. I'll be right back" then leaves the room. I laughed so hard, I thought I was gonna pee MYSELF when Jethrene told me that. Medical school, here she comes.
The city snow plow/salt truck just went by. High time, too. This street has been a death trap since day befor yesterday. Fortunately, I don't have anywhere to go so I am staying right where I am. The snow needs to be removed from the sidewalk that leads to the building and has been so for the last two days. I hope they are not waiting for ME to do it. There are four strapping young men who live in this complex and yer own Bugg aint shovelin' shit. I am such a slacker, I know.
Have a good weekend, everyone
