Something tells me that you're just A LITTLE excited!
It is so hard to be separated!!! I'm sorry for both of you!
I'm glad you're so happy!
Glad the little guy is doing well! That must have HURT like crazy! (By the way, what's a patio leg?)
Looks like a fearsome threesome!!
I too am glad this election is over! I have never done so much soul searching during an election in my life! For the longest time, I was on the fence as to for whom I was going to vote. I believe that Mr. McCain is an honorable and good man. However, after the Republican Convention, his campaign turned into an attack on the opposition instead of a pulpit for what he was going to do for the country. Couple that with the fact that I could NEVER see myself voting for his VP selection, Caribou Barbie, and my vote went firmly for Mr. Obama.
Sometimes it takes an earth-shattering event for us to realize what REALLY is important in life, and possessions aren't anywhere near the top of that list!
HEY!!!!!!!!!! HOW WONDERFUL TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!!!! Fascinating post! I've always been interested in the Occult, and in Merlyn. Now, you've piqued my interest in it all over again.I never knew that Merlyn was an actual historic figure! When you have a moment, could you explain "divination" to me?? Nice to have you back, A!
I too love Wally Lamb. She's Come Undone really blew me away. This is due, in part, to the fact that a good friend of mine, Thayer Kitchen, is the hero in that story. (Thayer is a good friend of Mr. Lamb.) Tell me a little more about The Twilight Series! I've just finished Christopher Moore's "Lamb" (A HILARIOUS novel), and I'm in the market for a good read.
I was shocked to hear of this death the other day! 66 years old seems so young. Crichton was such a talented man. I also believe he was genius. The Andromeda Strain scared the bejesus out of me. State of Fear and Airframe really made me sit up and think. And ER was one of the best shows on the tube. I miss Michael already!
Mary Ellen and I have two cats. I truly love them, but I don't trust them. Never trust anything that shits in a box.
I don't know why, but this post brought a smile to my face. I like the fact that you are so dedicated to keeping your promise to fiancee. I also like the fact that you are so much in love with her! And I ALSO like the fact that you like The Outback!!!! (Best steaks and "smashed" potatoes in the WHOLE WORLD!) Go ahead...treat yourself, my friend! AND congrats on the upcoming wedding!!!!!!!!!
Hey Jeremy, I might point out that political promises that cannot be kept come from both sides of the isle in every election. So do "solutions" to problems that, in reality, will solve nothing. (Such as increased oil drilling off our coasts and in our national parks and nature preserves. I believe the mesmerizing mantra of the right was, "Drill baby, drill!") I cannot believe that anybody would think of any candidate as a Messiah. I saw them both as two very good, and very honest men. And, even though I LIKED John McCain and respected him (and am extremely grateful to him for his unselfish service to his country), I had a VERY hard time with his running mate. To be honest with you, I was on the fence as to who to vote for until he picked a Barbie Doll to be his VP. (I know. I know. Joe Biden isn't any prize either, but at least Biden is well informed about what is going on in this country, even though he is often prone to laughable gaffs when speaking.) As far as being black or white is concerned, it was hard not to think about that, merely because it something historic. And the fact that a black man is elected President is being touted primarily by the black community. However, I voted for the man because I liked his vision. If he can bring that vision to reality remains to be seen. (No President is 100% successful in doing this,) But, at least, I think he'll be moving this country in the right direction again.
"But when I woke up this morning / I must have had someone else's blues." Sorry to hear that you're so down-in-the-mouth kid! Think it might be chemical?
This guy sounds a scary. Speaking as somebody who is a survivor or divorce and happily married for 18 years since then, your ex is not living in reality. What you do is your own damned business, and he should respect that. Sounds like he is trying to scare and intimidate you by letting you know that HE knows where you live. Be firm and refuse him everything. If need be, get a restraining order against him.
