See the picture-no look again.
What it is not:
It is not a Hanukah Tree.
It is not a Atheist Shrub.
It is not a Muslim Bush.
What it is, is a Christmas Tree, not a Xmas Tree- a Christmas Tree.
While it has become a symbol of a shopping season, it is more-much more than that.
Now before strider jumps in-yes I know us Christians stole it from the pagans. But it’s purpose now is that it is a symbol of my Saviors Birth.
If you want to join me in this celebration-come on down. If not-well that’s your choice.
You can (and have the right) to express your beliefs at this time of year. Go have fun. I will not protest or challenge your beliefs. That is between you and God. But don’t try to jump all over mine.
Yes I believe in separation of Church and State. I don’t necessarily believe Nativity Scenes belong at government buildings. But if it is there you have the right to exhibit your beliefs also. Hell I don’t care if you want to paint your body blue and run naked in the woods. I will respect your beliefs. All I ask is the same.
For me -this is Christmas Time. If you want to wish me good tidings, wish me a Merry Christmas. Not Happy Holidays, not Merry Xmas, or any of the other ways. It is a celebration of a special time for me.
Oh by the way I still believe in Santa.
