My Beliefs

See the picture-no look again.
What it is not:
It is not a Hanukah Tree.
It is not a Atheist Shrub.
It is not a Muslim Bush.
What it is, is a Christmas Tree, not a Xmas Tree- a Christmas Tree.
While it has become a symbol of a shopping season, it is more-much more than that.
Now before strider jumps in-yes I know us Christians stole it from the pagans. But it’s purpose now is that it is a symbol of my Saviors Birth.
If you want to join me in this celebration-come on down. If not-well that’s your choice.
You can (and have the right) to express your beliefs at this time of year. Go have fun. I will not protest or challenge your beliefs. That is between you and God. But don’t try to jump all over mine.
Yes I believe in separation of Church and State. I don’t necessarily believe Nativity Scenes belong at government buildings. But if it is there you have the right to exhibit your beliefs also. Hell I don’t care if you want to paint your body blue and run naked in the woods. I will respect your beliefs. All I ask is the same.
For me -this is Christmas Time. If you want to wish me good tidings, wish me a Merry Christmas. Not Happy Holidays, not Merry Xmas, or any of the other ways. It is a celebration of a special time for me.
Oh by the way I still believe in Santa.

Amen also. I too believe in santa Clause- He left his red p ants at my house when I was a kid and I cried because I was afraid he would never come again. But he had more than one pair!!!

I decided to put up your tree on my computer desktop. It really looks great, especially at night with the light off.

The Christmas season lives within the heart and soul
What others believe we have no control
I know the reason
We celebrate this joyous season
So you see
That is what Christmas means to me.
Great post Grumpy

I leave food out for Santa every year and Buddy the Interstate Cat obligingly helps Santa eat it.

I have always loved this time of the year--as a young Jewish boy I use to sneak over to my Italian friend's homes and be envious of their trees and presents--I don't recall ever missing Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve--it is a joyous time of the year to me and I wait the arrival of Santa every year--and, yes, I celebrate Chanakuh, also.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
