Yes, it is All About Me---duh!

People blog for many reasons and about many subjects. At the age of 12 I got a
diary and I was to keep one every year ever since. I lost all my
diaries from my teen years when I left home and I lost the ones from
the mid 1970s which were stolen. I do have over 40 years of diaries.

I,
also, have over 60 years of pictures taken of me. If I want to know
what I was doing, where I was, who I was with, friends, sex partners,
plays and/or movies I saw, say on May 7, 1969, all I have to do is go
to my diary for that year. Did I have a beard then? A mustache? Or was
I cleanshaved? Yes, there are the pictures for that year.

I
keep the diaries, the pictures for myself. I truly expect them to be
thrown out after I die as I really don't imagine anyone being
interested in my life just as , believe it or not, I think anyone is
interested in my life now. Yes, there are a lot of things that
particular people might want to know and there are some things that
particular people might not want others to know but neither case is
likely.

I
put a lot of my feelings, my thoughts and my personal observations in
my diaries and I, also, detailed many things about my sex life and
those involved with me as friends, acquaintances, tricks, etc.

I do like to take a past diary out now and then and see what was happening
to me and around em in a certain year. How many people can be certain
where they were, who they knew, what they were doing and when they were
doing it for certainty? As we grow older/old we tend to forget things
and these diaries help me to remember.

Over 3 years ago I discovered the world of blogging and started to write on blogs what I use to write in my diaries--well, most everything--though I
still keep 1-2 line remarks in a book. I have transferred most, if not
all, of my pictures from 8 photo albums making more room on the shelf
in my closet.

I
have had one or two people ask me why I thought i was so important that
other people would want to read about me or what made me so interesting
that I expected people to come, read and comment on my blogs.

Surprise,
surprise! Just as I write my books for myself, just as I kept my
diaries for myself never expecting anyone to read them, I wrote/write
my blogs for myself. Yes, it is nice that people will read and comment on them and yes, it is flattering when people say they enjoy my writing
or have learned something from me or feel I have something to say. I
think sharing my battles with weight, my knowledge of diets and
dieting, my experience in that field have/can helpothers so now and then I will refer to it.

I
do write movie reviews and I do post articles that interest me, wanting
to share what I find important/interesting and what I see that is so
fascinating about life and the world.

To those who question why I keep a blog,
why I write so much about myself, I have a few things to say but being
the gentleman I am, and I am one, all I will say is that if you don't
want to read about me don't read my blogs.

We
are all selfish--we all do what we want to do whether it is bad or good
for us--we make the decisions in our life that sets our lives on
certain paths.

My blogs are about movies/plays I have seen, restaurants I have eaten at, my
birds, my fat, where and how I live, how I spend my days, my friends,
people in my past, jobs I have had, places I have been, things I have
done, etc. Yes, my blogs are all about me, just in case you think or expect otherwise.

I read your blogs to learn more about you--to get to know you--to read what interests
you--and to throw my 2 cents in! :O) And, in some cases, to learn about
things I didn't know about or know very little about.

And
in May, 1967 Ronnie (who worked with me at The Brass Rail in NYC) and I
took a vacation in Miami Beach where we stayed at Beachcomber--Joe , Albyn and I went to see "Any Wednesday" and I met Herb later that night at the rocks.

None
of this might mean anything to you but all 4 were important in my life
and seeing their names bring back many great memories--they have all
died but I remember them!!! And that's why I have kept diaries and why I write a blog.
