An Update on Growing Veggies and a Happy Easter

It has been a little over 3 weeks since I
bought 4 packets of seeds at The Dollar Tree, brought them home and planted
them. I really didn’t know if the radishes, squash, peas and string beans would
grow enough to produce anything but I would be happy with greens!!! They might
possibly also become attractive vines since I vaguely remember peas or beans
make a vine.

I was sort of taken aback with in just 2-3
days I shoots sprouting in the pots! I have kept the radishes on the sill in the
apartment and the other 3 out on the walkway. I do know I should probably ’thin’
out the plants but I haven’t the slightest idea how to start do that!

The
peas and string beans really seem to be growing but the radishes and squash I am
not too sure of--in any case I am keeping them all out on the walkway and will
keep you up to date!

TO ALL THOSE
OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU

A HAPPY
EASTER

Can't imagine getting edible radishes in a pot, but on the bright side, it's easier to grow radish greens than radishes.!

I'm just laughing at the poor squash!

As for thinning-using manicure or other small scissors, cut close to the ground the plants you want to get rid of. You do not want to pull them out as this will disturb the roots of the kept plants. Keep the strongest looking, healthiest looking ones. I know this is hard to do.

That makes it work--I am just enjoying watching the greens grow--if I get veggies fine.
