Today's Menu from Surgeons to Prime Ribs!

I started off the morning with a glass
of orange juice and 2 packets of cinnamon--the latter mixed with water--and a
cup of decaffeinated green tea.

I attended my first exercise class that is held every Tuesday
from 11:30 AM-Noon on the breezeway here at Gateway--there were about 10 of
us--2 guys and 8 women--enjoyed it and plan to continue going on
Tuesdays.

John dropped by--he did buy the townhouse in Wilton Manors that
he wanted and he can't wait to move in--hopes to be living there by
December--Gino came with him, but stayed in the car which I found strange but I
know he hasn't been feeling well lately and is tired.

Allen came by at 1 PM and drove me up
to my vascular surgeon. Naturally he was an hour behind schedule!  We discussed
surgery on both my legs and he agreed that we can postpone it until I get my
head together LOL He said unless
gangrene set into one of my
toes--SOMETHING I DIDN'T NEED TO HEAR!!!--there wasn't an immediate emergency
and he set up a May date to see where things stand and if we could/should do it
at that time.

After that we went to the diagnostic center--it seems that after
all the tests they took on Saturday they forgot to take a 10 second test--that's
right--A TEST THAT TAKES 10 SECONDS TO DO!!! Went through some anxiety but made
it through the 11 seconds--not 10 seconds--with white knuckles!

It seems one of my bad habits is
rubbing off on Allen--spending money. It seems he made a little extra this past
week and decided he wanted to have a fillet Mignon and he invited me along.  He
had already treated himself to dinner on Sunday night (at least he knows how to
spend his money!!) at the Outback restaurant so we decided to go to J.
Alexanders for a late lunch. He had a fillet Mignon with a baked potato and I
had a prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes. As I remarked, "It felt good eating
in a restaurant restaurant though even the service in one can be as bad as other
places!" After all the 'bargain' places we have eaten on Wednesdays it was a
little different eating with thick cloth napkins on heavy butcher board tables
and Mercedes, Jaguars, Bentleys, etc.,
in the parking lot instead of beat up old wrecks.

And we didn't have dessert!!! That
will happen tomorrow when we go back to our Wednesday budget eating. LOL

It is 'cool' here this evening so I am
going to bundle up and go for a walk to the Point--hope I don't freeze LOL

All in all a good day---good food, mostly
healthy--exercise--surgery postponed--eating in, and being treated to, a good
restaurant--a visit from friends--getting through  a stressful test--and, most
of all the good company of Allen!!!
