Texas De Brazil--a Restaurant Review

A lot of little things, mistakes, errors puts Texas de Brazil way below the Chima chain!
On
the positive side the hostess was very positive with a smile and
greeting. On the other hand I saw the manager walk around the dining
room 3-4 times without stopping once at a table--a personal peeve of
mine. The dining room is beautifully designed but going to the rest room
can make for solving a maze.

While
the salad area and selections were superb--especially the flower
arrangement above it--every selection of meat was so salty it was almost
impossible to eat any of it.
The  piece of carrot cake, if made on
the premises would be very surprising, is ruined by the raspberry and
chocolate sauce under and around it.

Our
server made mistakes, like bringing an iced tea instead of a diet coke
among other things, though was swift with refills of water and coffee.

With
the 2 dinners ($93.98), coffee ($3), iced tea ($2.75) 2 desserts
($16.50) tax ($3.66--which was wrong) plus a $20 tip for a total of
$136.23 the only saving factor was we had a coupon for 1 free birthday
dinner from their web site plus they gave us one of the desserts so the
check came to $84.65
Even at $43 each the meal wasn't worth it.

They
say you can tell a restaurant by the bathrooms and that sort of is a
good example why the Texas De Brazil is a failure. There is no toilet
paper holder and it is standing on the sink. The garbage can is near the
door instead of the wash stand, urinals or commodes. A good looking
bathroom but impractical.

Oh yes there is valet parking for $5
plus tip or public parking, very well hidden. Do not park in the Publix
parking lot as you wil be towed which always adds to a meal in more than
just price!

THIS IS PART OF THE BIRTHDAY SERIES

I like having the garbage can right by the door. That way, one can use the paper towel to open the door (Restroom door handles are flthy!) and, holding the door open with one's foot, dispose of the paper towel right there. You washed your hands, right?

Between splints, ice packs and meds it isn't much better!

You to do a book or review of all the places you been.It would be interesting read there for someone.Plus the review.I know that you are busy and just a thought.Yes,some of the mens room are horrible.I feel so icky in going to some of the places that we have been.
Speaking about Subway we are going there or her for our Easter lunch.
Happy Passover and take care.

I really like Subways--especially their breads!
Happy Easter to you and Mike

Problem is restaurants open and close the next day--a book would be outdated the first day of publication

I'm going to be afraid to dine out if these reviews keep going on this track! And I won't mention the men's room at the China Buffet yesterday.... I'm almost afraid to go back there...
