Tell No One is a French (with English subtitles) thriller in the Hitchcock mode with good acting, excellent camera work, crafty and very involved plot about an innocent man (or is he?) who is suspected in the death of his wife--that is if she is dead.
The
actors, led by Francois Cluzet, are engaging in plot lines that can be
hard to follow and even in the end you are not quite sure all the
pieces fit but the journey will/does hold your interest.
Along with Cluzet, sort of a Dustin Hoffman look alike only taller, is joined by Masrie-Josee Croz, Andre Dussollier, Kristin Scott Thomas, Francois Berland, Nathan Baye, Jean Rochefort, Marina Hands, Giles Lellouche and Guillaumer--all
but Kristin Scott Thomas were/are unfamiliar to me but all are
impressive in a story that has many twists and turns yet holds your
interest all the way.
The lesbian relationship is treated just another relationship having nothing
to do with the thriller aspect of the film as it would in a Hollywood
film just as the other relationships are just what they are.
There are questions unanswered at the end about exactly what took place but I am sure a second viewing would answer them.
If you like an intelligent, mind engrossing, contemporary thriller this will be one for you!
