where I live with 232 trees on 8 acres with 32 buildings containing 265
apartments and about 300 residents overlooking Karen Bay. We have over
1500 feet of seawall with 8 docks where yachts from all over the world
stop for a period of time.
Saying Mother Nature, trees and Fort Lauderdale means palm trees and here are a couple right outside my building!
In October, 2005, Hurricane Wilma hit us and though we got hit, not having electricity for about 10 days, all
in all the Gateway administration did a great job supplying us with
water and food. The one thing that hit me was the tree in back of my
apartment that was shirred and shredded so badly that I thought it would
never come back and yet here it is in all its glory in 2008 but hiding
the canal on the other side--a small price to pay!
