The arm, neck and shoulder are still hurting from my trimming the White Bird of Paradise tree but the effort was worth it. Here is the tree after the trimming and the reward I took for myself!

don't know why but all of a sudden I have gone decal crazy!! Every
Thursday that I go to The Dollar Tree I pick up another sheet of
decals--you can't look anywhere in my place that you won't see a few.
Here are just some of them. I guess that therapist was right 40 years
ago when he said I had a addictive personality BUT to
decal??????????????  LOL

This
tree has been behind my building for at least 8 years. It got battered
by Wilma and then in 2009 (left picture) it started to grow out to what
it was previously. This year it has become massive and for the first
time I saw the following growing on the tips of branches.

It
took a lot of research and letter writing but I finally found out what
it was -- want to take a guess? That isn't a nut or a fruit but a seed
pod. In time the pod will open and spreed the seeds to wherever Mother
Nature decides a place needs to look better. It is a mahogany tree. See
you learn something new every day--sure, of course, I knew you knew! LOL
