Summer in Fort Lauderdale Part 7

I
love old people but I don't understand them!!  LOL  Gateway had their
First Annual Health Fair and Carnival this past week. The previous
Sunday they had a monthly ice cream social.

The
Friday before that it was movie night and guess what they served? Yes,
popcorn but also ice cream, fudge brownies, chocolate syrup, sprinkles
and cherries!

The
Wednesday before that at the General Assembly meeting they served
Dunkin' Donuts! And at today's General Assembly meeting once again
donuts and muffins!

Should
I even get into what was served at the HEALTH Fair? How about hot dogs
and hamburgers with sides of relish, sauerkraut and potato salad? Oh
yes, popcorn and snow cones. With all the above I am wondering where the
health part comes in and why are they serving  this stuff to old,
mostly fat, mostly ill people with heart problems?!?!? By the way in
case anyone cares I DID NOT partake of any of the foods! (See that halo
above my head? NO, I didn't either!)

Summertime?
South Florida? Hot weather? Seniors? TIME TO EAT!!! Anytime a business
wants old people to show up all they have to advertise is "Free Food"
and the crowds sign up!

I may have to bring up that in the future we serve fresh fruit but then again do I want 300 angry seniors after me?
