I am doing a series based on my experiences, observations, friends and knowledge about gay life after 63 years living as a gay man.
I
will be talking about various subjects and will gladly touch on any
topics that other bloggers might be interested in--just e-mail me. I have no objections to people voicing
opposing/other views but I will delete any comments hostile, insulting
or negative regarding gay people or attacks against them.
I am not
naturally a vulgar person but here and there I may get into street/crude
language which is the only reason I think this might be 'controversial'
as I don't think sex has to be, or is, a gutter subject.

I find it very ironic that of all the armed services, the Marines-- 58%--were against repealing DADT.
There are many jokes about the Navy, the ships and being gay but it was
my experience the Marines 'outdid' them and were the rule more than the
exception. While stationed at Camp Pendleton the 'hills were alive' with men having sex. The bar, at the Laguna Beach Hotel, was the place for civilians to pick up Marines who would
be 'gay for pay' though the thought was 'today's trade is tomorrow's
competition. The men would walk out on the beach into the cove behind
the hotel bar. Even back then Marines were hired to make gay porno
films. Marines were the 'butchest' of the armed services and were known
to be the  first to throw their legs up in the air!

Other
Marines may not want to hear this, or even believe it, but most gay war
veterans organizations will tell you many, if not most of their
members, are gay Marines though they, jokingly, DADT!

One
thing I have learned about 'nongay' men who have sex with men is that
they will do everything and anything except kiss because they believe it
is not 'manly' to kiss another man and as long as they don't they
aren't gay. Many of these men will define themselves as bi-sexual.

Using
terms of yesteryear most of these men are French active and Greek
passive with other men. They have most of their sex in public places
such as restrooms, rest areas, parks, in alleys, behind buildings and/or
cars, in life guard stands and such places. They very seldom will go to
someones home or have sex in a bed.

It
is these same nongay men who cruise the Internet gay sites calling
themselves 'curious', 'interested', 'willing to try', 'must be
discreet', 'not gay but' and other similar expressions.

Most of them have two things in common--they are married--to women--and they are Greek passive.

My next post will be about married men and anal sex, who even in this time of AIDS, do not want their partners to use condoms.
