Allen
and I were sitting around reading the Sunday paper when he suggested we
take a drive around, maybe going to John U. Lloyd State Park at Dania
Beach or drive down to Sebastian Street gay beach on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
It was a beautiful afternoon, sunny, around 80-82 degrees
and all the cruise ships were docked before they take off for the week.
We drove down Sunrise Boulevard, then crossed over 17th Street where we
saw the 2 biggest cruise ships--one being 2 inches longer than the
other!--the Oasis of the Sea and the bigger
one the Allure of the Sea. They are big, wide and tall ships! When we
got down to the State park we saw the Neuw Amsterdam and Celebrity Solstice, the one in the picture below.
I took the pictures below at/on Dania Beach and John U. Lloyd State Park as we drove and walked around.
Needless
to say it was a 'hard' day--hey, it isn't easy taking life easy--so
when we got back Allen had to take a nap before we went out for dinner
at the Fort Lauderdale Pizza and Pasta restaurant. Allen had Chicken Francese and I had Tilapia Oreganata which came with soup, salad, garlic rolls and dessert--Allen had the Italian cheesecake and I had chocolate mousse cake.
