With the record number of 'cold waves' coming into Florida since November and
still continuing this coming week with a high, maybe, in the 60s on Wednesday I
decided to bring a little Spring in the air.
One of the few things I miss from living up North is when the crocuses,
iris's, tulips, hyacinths, etc., peep out from under the snow to tell us Spring
is on the way. We don't get that here--the snow or the flowers--as it isn't cold
enough for either!!
When I was in the supermarket last week I saw they had hyacinths on sale and
I bought one--from a small bulb to a blooming, most fragrant flower that gave a
pleasant smell to my whole apartment I have delighted in watching it grow and
blossom--don't know how long it will last but I am loving it!! I might put the
bulb, when it is finished blooming in the freezer and see if I can take it out
next winter and grow it again!!

 
    
     

 

Today--in full bloom--can almost feel Spring!  :O)
