"Spoiler Alert"--a Must See Movie

Michael Ausiello, who is an executive producer and a co-screenwriter of this movie, also wrote the book it is based on called "Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies", and as much as I hate giving spoilers I don't believe it is one if I tell the opening of the movie tells you that same thing.

I won't tell you much about the movie except that it is about 2 people who fall in love, have a realistic relationship and after 10 years finding it going stale they decide to live separately and go for couples therapy. During this period Kit (Ben Aldridge) is diagnosed with a rare growth of neuroendocrine cancer tumor and Michael (Jim Parsons) moves back with Kit to take care of him.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried through 52 minutes of this 112 minute movie but, also laughed at the many silly things that make people, especially couples, so different. There is no holding back on the sentiments, the honesty, the soppy sloppy times in a relationship and all that it takes to make a couple.

This is a tear-jerker and will be very hard for the many people who have helped a loved one through cancer or any other illness that can cause death but it will also embrace the love they shared.

Just as you have looked at many couples and just couldn't picture them together physically you also become so comfortable with Ben Aldridge and Jim Parsons that looks don't even enter the chemistry these two guys have together. While the film concentrates on them there are also appearances by Sally Field and Bill Irwin as Kit's parents among others as their friends.

"Spoiler Alert" is a MUST SEE movie and one of the best along these lines with "Beaches" in 1988 and "Long Time Companion" in 1989!
Don't wait for it to come on streaming but go see it in a movie theatre as it is also a Christmas/Holiday film.
