Don’t
want to break too many hearts but I won’t be around tonight. I will be
going to dinner at the Quarterdeck---one of my favorite restaurants--and
then we will drive down to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing
Arts in Miami to see the opening of the touring company of “The Blue
Man Group”. They started in the late 80s and immediately became a big
hit. I always just seemed to miss them!
The Blue Man Group is
made up of 3 men dressed in bald caps and covered in blue make up. From
what I understand they splash all kinds of liquids, make music, do take
offs of modern equipment and have fun with the audience sometimes going
into the audience and they don‘t speak!
I will of course know
more late tonight and will post a review on Wednesday. I am looking
forward to seeing something different in the theatre. After this it is
“Evita” on May 27 and the 2013-2014 Broadway Across America theatre
season in South Florida ends.
