The Quarterdeck is one of MY favorite restaurants and they have the best Jambalaya in town. Earlier this year they moved from their old location on Cordova Road and moved a few blocks north building a new place from the ground up including a huge dining outside patio--almost as if they knew COVID was coming!!


Regarding COVID it is one of the few restaurants I am very comfortable going to though two things sort of bothered me with the first being they have stopped taking temperatures before sitting the customer as they were doing as late as October when I was there. Also, all the staff from the hostess to the food runners wore masks but none of the bar customers did and no way was there any social distancing! In the patio the tables were well apart from each other.


They have started a really great special during December with a buy 1 get 1 free different item every day (including Jambalaya on December 14---just saying LOL) including a full rack of Ribs, stuffed Shrimp, Fajitas, etc.


We went this past Thursday and had their Lobster Mac & Cheese which was good but a little on the dry side. I posted a picture of our check before and after. Please folks, use the 'before' tipping guide!


We will be going for their Fajitas--which I have had before and are excellent--next Thursday!
