The only category I am really interested in this year is for the Best Actress and I am hoping for a tie between Julie Christie and Marion Cotillard--both gave excellent performances--for sentimental reasons I would like the former to win and for the harder role the latter--will be happy if either wins.
For the rest of the picks though they may not be my favorites they are the ones I think will win.
Best movie: No Country For Old Men
Best actor: Daniel Day-Lewis for a monumental performance
Best Supporting actor: Javier Bardem
Best supporting actress: Tilda Swinton
It would be nice to see Ruby Dee or Hal Halbrook win but if they did it would be strictly for sentimental reasons not for best performance like with Julie.
Best Director: Ethan and Joel Coen
