ORCHIDS
As I mentioned in the first part orchids
are a big part of the decorations in the restaurant--each table has a
center piece of a white orchid and colored orchids are used on plates,
buffet stations.
This is when we sat down.
At the end of
the meal when the check was presented they 'served' a hollowed out tube
with an orchid in it and 3 donut holes placed on top. I didn't find out
until later that you could take the orchid home (not the tube!!!) if
you wanted to. It was a nice touch to the whole meal. It even got a
smile out of Allen!! (Ummm--wonder who grabbed one of the donut holes before the picture could be taken!?)
Tomorrow: why it was an almost perfect, not perfect, brunch buffet
