Most
of my life I have been impulsive, compulsive without goals or planning
for the next day let alone my future. (Duh! Could that be why I am
broke?!?!) About 13 years ago, when I retired, I, all of a sudden,
depended on routine and felt very comfortable with it. Went out for lunch and ran errands on Wednesday, did food shopping on Thursday , movies on Friday and, sometimes, on Tuesday , went to breezeway at 5:30 PM, took a walk to The Point around 11:30 PM , got up around 10-10:30 AM , read
e-mail, the newspaper, went out around 1 PM, wrote a blog every evening
at 9 PM and on and on! Now things are about to change and panic sets
in--well a little depression anyway!
For
the past 7-8 years Allen would pick me up on Wednesday and we would run
some of my errands, go out for a bite to eat and then get our winning
(YEAH! NOT!) lotto tickets. On Thursday I was able to borrow someones
car and do my food shopping and the past few months, due to Jill's
generosity, I have had a car to do just that. Well it seems that is all
coming to an end very soon and I have to juggle things around. Luckily I
have Allen who is willing to do the same. We are changing our lunch day
to Thursdays and he will take me errand and food shopping afterwards.
Of course I now have to change our lotto tickets from Wednesday to
Tuesday to Thursday to Wednesday. If you think that's easy, it isn't!
Rest assured as soon as I (not if) win that lotto or powerball or
Fantasy5 I am getting a car--a 1971 white Eldorado Caddy convertible or a
1974 red Chevy Caprice convertable !!!

Talking
about a change in life I once wrote a blog about all the places I have
lived and over 60+ years it came to about 5 years per place and that too
has now changed. I have lived At Gateway for 12 years, started my 13th
in June, and in this one apartment for 7 and a half!!! OMG! Am I now
ready for a relationship???

In
the movie "Higher Ground" there is a line that has stayed with me, for
whatever reason, that I found very funny. In a scene where tapes are
being used to teach young men in church about sex the voice says,
"Christ like sex" --did He have sex?????

Odds and ends: Norman came back from his trip and his plant flourished in my apartment!
At one blog site the more students that blog the less regulars do and the latter disappear going to other places to blog.
