So far these have been the worst 13 days of my 72
years.
Lots to talk and tell about --including this idiot ripping out
his foley bag and walking out of the hospital in thye middle of the night but
that's another blog!
The two hardest things for me to deal with are 1) the complete
lack of energy--I get exhausted just typing this little bit and 2) the foley
bag. I wish they had warned me about the latter.
Of course my not having had a single cigarette since July 20th
hasn't helped in my recovery--every last one of my nerves are on edge!!!! Yes, I
know in the long run it is good for me but right now I am pulling my hair
out!
I do not seam to be able to get simple answers to simple
questions and this doctor passes it on to that doctor who passes it on to the
other doctor. I have appointments this week with the surgeon (well, not THE
surgeon--he is on vacation--I have not seen him since the operation!! This is
his partner), the urologist and my primary.
I am taking 9 different pills--and you know all the dire side
effects!!!--but I was able to talk the doc into giving me a tranquilizer to
combat the smokers withdrawel effects.
As I said, a lot to talk about from such things as waste at/in
hospitals, doctors not giving patient ALL the information they should have/need,
lack of follow through by doctors, the whole lack of rehab thing,
etc.
By the way just to show you how tired I am Allen and I went to
the movies yesterday (Brideshead Revisited) and I don't have the energy to write
a review--this blog has wiped me out--going to bed!!
