A Nice, Peaceful Life Affirming Day!

It being Wednesday Allen dropped by a little after 1 PM to take
me on my errands--the bank, CVS pharmacy and
7/11 for me to buy my winning lottery tickets. After that we decided on lunch--I
had a 2-4-1 coupon so we went down to the 17th Street Causeway--a major artery to and from the
beach.

It's a small Greek breakfast and lunch
restaurant. Allen had a chicken and tuna salad platter while I had a spinach pie
wi
th a Greek salad and REAL coffee!!! (Of course with my taking coumidin--a
blood thinner--having spinach and salad--bo
th containing vitamin K I shouldn't
have either. And let's not even discuss coffee, caffeine and the heart!!!!) Though nothing special
food wise it is always nice to sit, eat and relax with Allen.

Afterwards we decided to stop at Publix supermarket. Due to my eating
a lot of cheese and all the medicines I seemed to
have developed constipation so I decided to get some peanuts to counteract it
and Allen decided to treat himself to a container of rice pudding that he likes. (Oh, did I mention that I, also,
got a
1/2 gallon of butter pecan nut ice cream???) LOL

After Allen left me off (and after taking my evening 1/2 pill)
I went out to the breezeway where I joined  Dottie, 2 other women and Jerry to
sit and sho
ot the breeze. All we talked about was doctors, illness and
medicine--I said, "
No we sound like old
people", and as Jerry pointed out we were/are!! From now on IF anyone brings ups
those subjects I am going to talk about films,
theatre, books, where I've lived--anything BUT doctors, medicine, illness!!!!
LOL

After an hour I went out to the point were Pat was with her two
dogs. She is in charge of the free food programs and though there was free food
delivered today I wasn't home to get it and we discussed an alternative way to
set up the free food deliveries.

I came home and started to get things organized on my desk, had
some of the peanuts (unsalted, of course) some ice cream and then went on the
Internet.

NO, not an exciting, memorable,
unforgettable day--just a life reaffirming, pleasant, nice lunch, nice company day--who could ask for
anything more????

Didn't win Mega and haven't won but $5 all week in scratch offs. This is not a good week for me. I'm glad you are better, martin. You've been in my heart and my mind.

Sometimes the non-exciting days are the most enjoyable ones.
