Every once in awhile I treat myself by
buying a plant. I have always loved flowers but I can't have too many as the
birds love them also! LOL In any case
I bought a couple of plants at Home Depot--- a Cuban Butterfly and a New Guinea
Impatiens--and added them to my plant sill which has a sweet potato vine, a
Penta, a potted begonia, violets,
etc.

Cassidy has two
new games--don't know if you can see it in the picture on the left but he likes
to 'bat' the round, plastic rod that hangs down from the blinds--then, in the
right picture, he now 'stalks' the finches!

I
was  just surfing the cable channels and came across Farrah Fawcett's Story about her battle with anal
cancer which she is losing--I just caught the last 15 minutes where she couldn't
recognize her son--heart breaking.

Trivia: 75 years ago today bank robbers Clyde Barrow and
Bonnie Parker were shot to death in Bienville Parish, Louisana  (and, no, I
wasn't there!!!)

Rainy season has hit with a vengence this week with
heavy rains during the night, early morning and around sunset--hopefully it will
end the draught we have been having but we still need a lot more rain!

My printer broke and once again it has been brought
home to me how dependant we get with technology. I feel lost without it and I
have had to have Allen and Larry print some things for me. I'll have to scout
the papers tomorrow and see what sales they have. Larry did mention going to www.newegg.com for some really great
buys. Checked it out and I do recommend you take a look at it--really great sale
prices on many items.

While I am mentioning web sites I also highly
recommend www.drugs.com if you take any
medicine--it is a great site to find out all about any prescription medicine you
take.

Last, but not least, if Memorial Day is May 30, next
Saturday, why are we celebrating Memorial Day weekend this weekend?? Ah
yes--government and their laws, regulations and utter nonsense! :O)
