Hard
for me to believe the picture on the left was taken in November 1988
when I was working at the Holiday Inn--22 years ago?!?!? And the picture
on the right was taken Friday at the Quarterdeck restaurant--that's my
buddy Santa!
After
the movie on Friday we went to the Quarterback restaurant where we have
been going quite a bit lately. They have a jambalaya special on Fridays
that is excellent. In addition they are running 25 specials, one for
each day until Christmas. We had a 2-4-1 special coupon plus a free
dessert special coupon and then there was that jambalaya special so how
could we go anywhere else?
We
were sitting in a booth by the windows which slide to the right to
create an open space on good weather days. Since I don't like sitting
outside this is a good compromise. The picture below on the right is the
bar area with a huge fish tank to the left of it.
I won't say we are 'regulars' but Lori, above, and Chris, the servers, know what we drink not even having to ask us!
Andre had the jambalaya and a house salad.
Allen had the balsamic chicken salad.
I had a rare cheeseburger with raw onion and double slaw.
After that we split one--that's right ONE--piece of chocolate cake.
On the way home we stopped at the Home Depot and I bought a couple of more poinsettias for that holiday feeling.
A good meal shared with friends and a beautiful day--who could ask for anything more?
