Shopping is not my thing except for grocery shopping on Thursdays. I love going up and down the aisles buying what I NEED, looking at what I WANT, and what I would buy if I was a skinny person naturally and, believe, that would b different then what I usually would pay for at the check out counter.
When I go clothes, furniture, household supply, etc., shopping I know exactly what I want and get in and out of the store as quickly as possible. The only place I window shop or look around in is a gadget store like the Sharper Image which is now going out of business.
I buy most of my clothes through Haband so I can just mark off the size send in my order and check and get the clothes in 5-7 days without wasting any time. In the past 10 years I have never had a problem with an order.
I do need a new sofa bed for a couple of reasons: 1) to stretch out on to watch TV 2) and for when Terry and Chuck and Mike and Alfredo come on down. The one I had fit the bill perfectly but it broke and I had the maintenance guys dispose of it yesterday.
The old one had a queen size bed and took up a little too much room so now I am looking for a full size bed which, means, 2 cushions wide.
Gino stopped by and we went to 3 'second hand places--I don't think I spent more than 5 minutes in each place as I know what I want as far as design and material goes and none available appealed to me.
As I am no rush to get one--Alfredo and Mike probably won't be down until the winter and it will be awhile before Chuck and Terry come down-- the only immediate problem will be the stretching out to watch TV and I can solve that by taking the mattress and the throw pillows from the sofa bed which I kept, putting them on the living room floor temporarily--again, one of the many advantages of living alone!
Over the next few Wednesdays, when Allen and I go around doing my errands, we can make quick stops at the 3 stores until what I want is available.
Another shopping crisis solved!!!
