Happeneing in November--not Talking About Politics

5 weeks from today it will all be over here in the East--I am talking about when Daylight Savings Time will end.
At
4:30 PM  today I took this picture--it is still DST but the sun hasn't
been out all day, the sky is gray and the clouds are covering the city.
This is a preview of what's ahead--I LOVE DST--I love when the sun is
still shining at 7 or 8 in the evening!

Now as we approach late Fall and all of winter the world turns gray and dark before the afternoon is even over---even people turn gray and dark.
Let's have DST all year round!!!! And I don't want to hear your arguments about why it is a bad idea!!!  LOL

we don't have daylights saving time here in Hawai'i...neither does Arizona and parts of Indiana.

I grew up in Juneau, Alaska and during the summer my parents could never tell us to be in when it got dark because technically the sun didn't ever go completely down. It was like daylight at midnight. During the winter however, it got light late in the morning and dark early in the afternoon. Some people just can't physically or mentally take the constant darkness and it affects them badly. I loved both summer and winter with the differences in them.

Ray really hates it. The one good thing is taht we get an extra hour of sleep when we change the clocks in the autumn.

I agree! I hate when it is dark at 5 in the evening! wasn't this all started to conserve energy?
