Harvey Fierstein: Bite my Weiner

“You can tweet pictures of my weiner without destroying your career,” Broadway vet Harvey Fierstein quipped Thursday when he invited the audience of Broadway’s “Kinky
Boots” to join him after the show at the Brooklyn Diner for hot dogs.
Fierstein was celebrating the restaurant’s renaming its jumbo “15-bite”
tube steak in his honor. “Harvey got onstage and told the audience he
was ‘heading over right now’ and everyone was invited for free Harvey
Dogs,” said a spy. A crowd followed through Times Square, and “Harvey
must’ve won an award for most [Anthony] Weiner puns”
along the way, we’re told. The move was reminiscent of Andy Kaufman’s
invitation to a 1979 Carnegie Hall audience for milk and cookies.
