and a pain killer and don't know how much that helped--we'll see
tonight. I read most of the paper, took care of the birds, got dressed,
put on my new glasses (which I got yesterday) and left to face the
world!!!

Well,
more honestly, to cash in my Play4 winning ticket for which I got
$200--half goes into my "A Chorus Line" fund and half into my new TV
fund. Since I was across the street from the Galleria Mall and still
having a hankering for another banana nut muffin I decided to go to
their food court and get one. I asked the guy behind the counter if he
had any and he said sure, taking one and putting it on a plate and I
added a cup of real coffee. I was taken aback that there was icing on
the banana nut muffin as I had never seen that before--I soon discovered why--it was just a banana NOT a banana NUT muffin--oh well, I suffered and ate it anyway! LOL
Okay,
this is a "Don't ask and I won't tell" section--I had sex (and NOT by
myself!)--didn't call my doctor to ask if it was okay so soon (5 and
1/2 weeks after the operation) nor did I hesitate. Heart beat a little
faster and I am sure that aorta valve got a workout but I am here to
talk about it so everything is okay. (If you want to hear the whole
story come over tomorrow and listen while I tell Allen, Gino and John
either before or after we go to the movie!!)
Came out to catch the bus which didn't
show up on scheduled time--in fact the next bus came 1 hour 20 minutes
later--seems the previous bus broke down!!--sitting in the hot sun for
that long with the medicines I take isn't a good idea but I was feeling
great (amazing what getting a little money and sex will do for the good feeling of a human being! LOL)
So
far, and I hope it keeps up that way, the 'no smoking' hasn't bothered
me too much or too often--let's see how I am doing a month from now. I
haven't gained the '10 pounds' I always hear about but my weight has
fluctuated a lot in the few weeks--today weighed in at 189--what I
weighed July 7--did get down to 182 right after getting out of the
hospital but it has been creeping up a little each week--the funny
thing is that I DON'T have the appetite I had or am I eating as much as
I did--maybe due to the medicines.
Now it is a little after 6--will read some blogs,
read and answer my e-mail, watch Big Brother, have dinner and take a
walk around Gateway before, hopefully, going to sleep without any
trouble again!
