I an not a morning person for anything--never have been--I
usually get up around 10:30 AM--spend time on the Internet reading and
answering e-mails but before that just walk around and look at the
flowers growing on my window sills which puts a smile on my face and
look out the windows at Mother Nature's work and, by the way, look at
the weather.
After
I usually read the paper to catch up from the 11 PM news the night
before as the TV doesn't get turned on until the 6:30 PM world news,
have some orange juice and coffee. By 1 PM, everyday, I am ready to face
the world. As a rule I don't like to go shopping but I love to
food shop and Thursday is that day! Now with Allen back--he has the
nerve to want to use HIS car on Thursdays for things like theÂ
Celebration of Friends which is started yesterday and lasts until
Sunday--but I am lucky enough that Arnie takes me to the stores, so I am
knocking on his door at 1 and we are on our way!

Our first stop is the Dollar Tree Store where I buy my cheese, packages of frozen veggies, doo-dads and things for my neighbors.
I LOVE this store!
Then it is on to Publix--the only store in town that sells no salt mini pretzels that I like to snack on and after that it is time for lunch!
It
had been awhile since I had been to the Quarterdeck so I suggested we
go there which we did. Arnie had a burger and I had the lunch special
which was a blackened prime rib sandwich,w hich I shouldn't have had but
will talk more about in another blog. The lunch was good then we were
on our way.
Aside from the Dollar Tree my favorite place to food shop is the Winn Dixie super market and that's where we went next.
After
all the shopping was done and I came home there was a message that they
needed to see me in the office--long story short, the budget wouldn't
allow for the whole Gazette to be done in color, that they could only
afford to do the front page--so since I couldn't do anything about that
(though all the 4th of July red/white/blue colors, including the
American flag won't look great in black and white I at least got the
'women of gateway' on the cover looking good) I came back upstairs, put
my groceries away, and by then it was time for the meeting of the
mindless on the breezeway and my afternoon came to a close. It's rough
being me!!!
