It's Good to Know I Can Still Have a Crush

Mmmmmmm--is
it considered stalking if I go to the stage door after every
performance? His co-star is only 3 years younger than me (or so George
Hamilton claims!)

I
just came home from the opening night of the touring company of "La
Cage Aux Folles" at the Broward Performing Arts Center in Fort
Lauderdale and I will be writing my second fan letter (the first was to
Donna McKechnie after seeing her as Cassie in "A Chorus Line") in 70+
years of theatre going.

Mr
Sieber's performance was WOW! There was no one else on stage when he
was on and all I could do was wait, impatiently, for him to come back on
stage when he was off. I will definitely be writing more about him!

Now
all I have to do is remember to review the rest of the show tomorrow!
For the review go to www.broadwayshowbiz.com tomorrow or read it here
next Tuesday

It
has been a very long time since I was so affected by a performance. I
saw the original "La Cage Aux Folles" in October 1983 in New York and
George Hearn brought the house down with the first act curtain singing
"I Am What I Am"--I was very apprehensive of going to see this
performance but hearing/watching Christopher Sieber doing "A Little More
Mascara" in the second scene I forgot everything, every memory I had of
that performance. It is an rare thrill as an audience member
discovering a talent for themselves.

I
came home after the show and immediately 'googled' Christopher Sieber.
My heart is broken--of the many things I have been called, or done, I
have never been a home wrecker!{#basic-cry.gif} {#basic-angry.gif} {#basic-frown.gif} {#basic-ohsnap.gif}

"While It's All Relative was being produced, Sieber came out as gay and said that he was happily
partnered to actor and chef Kevin Burrows. They married on November 24,
2011, in New York City."

I looked him up on YouTube. He was in Spamalot and Shrek, too. And Chicago. So talented.

I've been going to the theatre for over 70 years and his performance knocked me out--many, many years since I've experienced that in the theatre

You have good taste. I had a huge crush on George Hamilton when he was in Where the Boys Are. When was that? 1958? Time flies.

You can have him--I'll take Chris--fair enough? It was 1960- I found it very strange that he didn't mention the movie in his bio--especially since he was in Fort Lauderdale.
The movie opened at the Gateway theatre--a movie house I still go to!

Yes, it is good to know that. Nothing wrong with that.
