to do a thorough history, not only medical but personal. Dr. Singer
asked so many questions that everything I wanted to tell him about the
past few weeks that happened, and what I had been through, came up. I
was really impressed with the man, especially when he said he wouldn't
do a follow up appointment. He feels that if the treatment he prescribed doesn't work then I could come back but he felt it would work!!
His diagnosis? Chronic Obstructive Pulmonery Disease
He gave me an inhaler with 10 pellets--I am to take it once a day--called SPIRIVA--he said that it should work and that I will probably be taking it every day the rest of my life.
I am hoping it does work and, though I don't like taking another medicine, I am glad to have a name for what I have been experiencing and, being optimistic, will have my breathing normal 24/7.
I
plan on doing the inhale at Noon every day, my thinking being that I
want to be alert while I am awake--does that make sense? In any case I
am reading ALL the literature that came with the inhaler and that is a lot. Have to read all the possible side effects!!! :O)
