My first Leap Year 1940
As of this February 29 I will refrain from using the word old(er) when talking about myself--I will be 18--okay, okay 72--I am no longer older. folks, I am OLD!!! (No arguments--see my blog about the bull with you are as only as you feel, age is a state of mind, etc.)
For the record, I LOVE being OLD!!! Along with all those senior discounts I get I am worry-free, happy, living a life of pure joy. Oh sure a few minor irritations--mainly from and/or about humans--but in the scheme of things they are quickly forgotten.
Every day when I get up I look out the window to see what Mother Nature has brought this day--whether it's all sunshine or a cloudy day or a gray, rainy, misty day or, yes, even a hurricane--her work is amazing.
A half hour later I uncover the birds and watch their antics which are many and always get me smiling.
After that just the joy of living keeps me on a high.
I hope you 'kids' from 18-60 are as satisfied with being old as I am.
