I
finally got a name for what is wrong with my ear--it is called
'Eustachian tube dysfunction'--there is no 'cure' nor can it be
'fixed'--but at least I have a name for it!!!
Not a pleasant subject but I asked the doctor to explain, again, why I shouldn't bring the phlegm
up or try to force it out, it being better just to drink some water and
not do anything about it but keep it in body. Why? Well, it seems it is
another thing about aging 'they' don't worn us about!
As we get older our vocal cords get softer and each time we try to 'force' phlegm up it is like scratching the vocal cords with nails, inflaming them and, possibly, causing damage.
So now that I know that do I feel better? NO!!!

I received an e-mail alert today that one of the medicines I am, and have been, taking, a beta blocking agent, metoprolol succinate er tablets25mg taeth has had specific lots recalled due to defects found. I immediately
printed out 2 copies, one for my primary and one for my pharmacist--I
gave my primary the printout with my name and phone number--so far I haven't heard from him--will stop by CVS tomorrow and check it out with Chuck, the pharmacist.
On a bad, but not unexpected note, I had a 2 pound weight gain this week--hey, that's what Skyline 5 chili bowl will do to you!
