We
decided to get the movie and museum package for the senior price of
$14. In the courtyard of the museum is the 'gravity' clock which keeps
perfect time strictly by the use of balls.
We
looked at the exhibits, before and after the movie, which consisted of
hand on robots, airplanes, rocks, ocean ecology not to forget the
kiddie area!!! :O)
After
the museum and movie we went down to the Embassy Suites hotel where
they were staring the 8th annual southeast regional gay men's health
summit that would be all weekend.
It
was slow and we expected that as the weekend advanced it would get
busier. None of the seminars were going to start until 4:30 or so we
decided to get a bite at the Outback (review to follow) and come back
to the seminar after.
After
lunch (for me) we went back to the hotel and went to the seminar
entitled, "Homophobia in the General Population" which was being led by
a very ineffective speaker who let the people, at least one person,
dominate the conversation and bored everyone, including us, so we left,
maybe to return tomorrow or Sunday.
Who wouldn't want to hear about "laugh Therapy", "Juice Up Your Erotic
Life", "Find Mr. Right, not Mr. Perfect" or "You Look Fabulous Darling
!" LOL
Certainly a different kind of Friday!!!
