Day 4 of Leap Year Birthday Celebration Part 1

7:30 AM--yes, seven thirty in the morning--that's 7:30 AM--that's what time I had to get up on March 1 after becoming an adult--now if that doesn't show I love Chuck and Terry I don't know what will!!

It was a fairly busy day--we went to Haulover Beach (a nude beach)--then to south Miami Beach--up to the Indian reservation to get cigarettes and then on to the Hard Rock casino--not only was my body confused by getting up so early but the birds weren't exactly happy with the new routine either!!

I did insist that they feed me breakfast--I had suggested we stop at the local IHOP but they wanted to go further down--in North Miami Beach we were going to stop in a Denny's but there was too long a wait--then I spotted Rascals a restaurant that has been there for years so I suggested we go there. I am still in shock regarding the prices--$11.95 for a Spanish omelet, $8.95 for a cheese omelet--won't even get into the $14 sandwiches!!

In any case I did have a cheese omelet with home fries, an English muffin, a couple of mini Danish and REAL coffee, which is a treat for me.

Then ON TO Haulover Beach!

Ah...Wolfie's is one of my earliest, most pleasant Miami memories. Of course, in those days, the prices you're citing would have fed a family of Chinamen, as my g'father used to say.
