For mikey'smom--Bev--the picture
and the plaque was taken/given in 1988--hard to believe 22 years
ago--and I don't look a day older LOL The plaque came with $50 and a
front of the door parking space--can't beat that!

For ILOVECATS who did a blog on the 60s--I'm not sure but this was either the late 60s or early 70s--how's the look?

Hopefully by the time I post this the weather will have turned around again--back in the 80s where it belongs
From our local newspaper, The Sun-Sentinel, on Monday, December 13--at least it is sunny!
"Stores
ran out of space heaters, homeless shelters opened their doors and the
wildfire risk rose to the highest levels in years, as a sheet of dry,
frigid air from the Arctic continued its slow passage across South Florida .
After
what had been expected to be a bone-chilling Monday night, with a
windchill factor in the teens and 20s, temperatures were expected to
warm to the 50s Tuesday, before dropping again for another chilly night.
Not until the weekend were they expected to warm to the 70s during the
day, although the relief may not last.
"There are a lot of fronts
coming through," said Evelyn Rivera, a meteorologist with the National
Weather Service. "Very strong fronts. It's going to be up and down for a
while."

I
have been a big fan of Doris Day since August 1947 when I saw her in
"Romance On The High Seas" and she sang "It's Magic." I highly recommend
you check out her web site DorisDay.com It is as sunny and bright as
she is telling her life story, showing her with friends, singing her
songs plus it tells you all about her work with and for animals--the
site will perk up your day!
On
the complete opposite of the spectrum is a new blogger that you should
check out at blogster talking about an important subject.

For fans of "Dexter"--and I am a big fan of this show on Showtime- -it has been renewed for another season!
While
on the subject of TV--Carrie Fisher has a 1 woman show on HBO and I
love this quote: (What do you think dphilip?) "They say bipolar now.
It's the same as manic depression. I think manic depression is more
descriptive. Bipolar sound like a gay polar bear."
Another quote I heard recently that stayed with me is, "Is glorious the new fabulous?"
