Chuck
and Terry had left before I got up Christmas morning and when they
returned a few hours later they told me not to worry about dinner as
they were going to make it and serve me! I explained to them that since I
have been single so long, didn't 'entertain' any more and wanted to get
rid of 'things' I had gotten rid of most of my plates, placemats, even
my salt and pepper shakers. What did I need with salt and pepper
shakers?
They
said not to worry as they got plates. At least I had plenty of
silverware and I had 6 napkins so I improvised and used 3 as placemats!

The hamsteak was sort of a joke--I think!--as in 1999 I was rushed to the hospital, this same week, with
congestive heart failure. I should add that I ate a 4 pound ham and a
gallon of diet soda that night but that's another story and I don't
think they were trying to kill me this year!
Not
only did they cook, and serve the dinner, but they also cleaned the
table, washed and put away the silverware and what dishes we used--(he
said to be sure I tell you all that)
Santa comes in many disguises--Thanks guys.
