As
long I have known Robert he has been a vibrant, energetic go-getter. He
was always the life of the party and the center piece of my Wednesday
afternoons--things didn't get started until he arrived. He sold, and
made a living with, Fuller Brush going door to door. Today he still
sells but by phone. About two years ago his health problems started and
he has had two knee replacements, a fight with prostate cancer, kidney
problems, etc. The man I saw today is NOT the man I met 30 years ago,
but then who is? :O( He is very fragile and lacks any energy.
But
that's not what this is about! Hurricane Wilma really tore up their
back yard (not to mention their roof) and just recently James decided
to design and redo the whole backyard. Needless to say the lack of rain
hasn't helped the 'comeback' but little by little his 'dream' piece of
Paradise will come to be.

The project in progress
Though
James asked if we would like lunch Allen and I said no because we
didn't want them to expand anymore energy than they did on this hot
day--instead we went toFlanagan's which, though very fish designed, is
really a ribs, steak and burger restaurant. They are running a $4.99
luncheon special plus you have to buy a drink--of course, sodas and
coffee are $1.99 each--so with tax and tip it comes to $10 each but it was good!!!!
It was good seeing Robert and James but, in a way, also sad.
