never learned that the easy way to get to me was either through food,
alcohol and/or flowers. No matter how much I hinted or even said
directly that they should broing me fresh cut flowers none ever did. Over the years I have bought my own
and enjoyed every bloom but it has been a while since I could afford to
get some or they were lower on the priority list.
I got a
surprise for the holidays when Gino gave me a gift card from Chuck and
Terry to Winn-Dixie and I went there today and did my food shopping. I
had a few dollars left over and saw a bucket of flowers near the
cashier's register so I decided to treat myself--well, actually Chuck
and Terry treated me but they didn't know that!
I only forgot one thing...
The birds love flowers, too--they love to eat them!!! LOL
