The Brain Never Stops Working

There are always thoughts going through my brain--bits and pieces here and there that I want to share.

I am unable to get the statistic out of my head that ONE MILLION children in the USA are neglected and/or abused EVERY DAY!! Sure let's cut more taxes, put more money in the pockets of the rich and not spend money on a problem that affects us all. We are suppose to be a rich country and yet children go hungry and old people eat cat food.

Don't know if any of you watch 20/20 on Friday nights on TV but they have a new segment called, "What would you do?" and last night they approached 2 topics of which the first was what would you do if you saw a small boy or girl by themselves on the sidewalk. Absolutely amazing how many people wouldn't do anything even if the kids looked distressed.

Then they had a segment on what would you do if you saw two men sitting and kissing on a public bench---also two women--and then a nongay couple. Reactions were very interesting from people calling the police regarding the two men to nongay men 'enjoying' the two women kissing. Seems the most upsetting to everyone was the former!

Knowing very little about coins and just guessing at what to start bidding at we (John's coins, my doing the eBay end) seem to be doing very good so far. I think--John keeps count--we have sold about 20 coins so far.

eBay is a great way to make money and get rid of 'things' and very easy to maneuver. Simplify your life and make money!

I have been posting at a new site recently--mainly movie reviews and my fat history--supposedly you can make money doing this but I am not sure how it works. You might want to check it out. www.helium.com (And you don't even have to pay ME any commission!)

Was looking over my 'to blog about' list--have about 6-7 topics I want to address from trusting people, to having been an habitual liar, gay bars of unusual interest of yesteryear (you know--from the stone age), choosing between having friends and/or lovers, some of my favorite meals, etc. One of these days I'll get started on the list.

having a beautiful day here--check out the weather on the left bar!

Okay, so it's a good thing you still post your "stuff" on that other site or I wouldn't even know you've been posting anything! If I didn't see it there, I wouldn't know to come over here! Darn it, this is so frustrating!

Anyway, that brain of yours is sometimes too much. So smart, so much memory recall, so organized, so persistent, so disciplined, so so so much! My brain is pretty good, too...it can get me in trouble sometimes, but it's still pretty good.

My Dad recently sold his stamp collection on Ebay for $2500.
It's sad how some people could ignore a little kid who's obviously scared and alone, and choose to do nothing. That's so wrong AND dangerous.

YOUR brain may never stop working, but some of us... It's amazing how some would not help a child, but would call the police for something that was harming no one!!! People!!
