The
'7 decades of adventures and discoveries called life' series will
continue tomorrow--still have a lot to say...as always--especially about
New York in the '60s. LOL
After "Dark Shadows" Allen and I went to Arby's to have a little snack!
Reviewing Jerry Herman's memoir I started to think about the feud
between Broadway people regarding Steven Sondheim and Jerry Herman and
who is the better composer and lyricist. I refer to Sondheim as the East
Side writer--sophisticated, complicated, willing to try new things--and
Herman as the West Side guy--down to earth, open, simple,
reliable--guessw hich one I identify with?
If you go to https://tinyurl.com/ctrartg
which is my YouTube page I took about 6 short videos of the Arsht
Performing Center and the surrounding area taht you might want to take a
look at--also a brief shot of a Jacaranda tree coming into bloom.
Above
is the 2012-2013 coming season at the Miami Center which includes
"Priscella, Queen of the Desert" which I am looking forward to seeing.
First
time I have ever done this but the show was over--not a good excuse
but... and I took a picture of "The Lion King" taking their final cast
bow.
