I
believe Aaron was the first blogger I met and exchanged comments with
and we have been talking ever since. Though I have never met or talked
to Ray I know he and Aaron are a good match. I promised them I would be
at their 50th anniversary!

The
other good news I got was that my oldest friend---not in age but in
time we have known each other--Chuck and his partner Terry, both living
in Memphis, will be going up to Washington D.C. at the end of the month,
for the softball games, and, marriage being legal in D.C., will be
getting married there. I am so glad they decided not to live in sin!!!

It
being Thursday Allen and I went to the Cafe Vico--he had garlic shrimp
with angel hair and I had eggplant parmigiana. The chef seems to outdo
himself every week. There hasn't been a dish less than excellent at this
place.

As always there
is something to rock the boat and though nothing major it annoys me. I
went to the dentist for my new 'flip' but it seems it was just a fitting
and I have to go back in two weeks. I am use to my old dentist doing
the work in his office but this one has to send it out. Oh well I AM
managing to eat! LOL

I,
also, was approved, for the MRI and MRA to be done in the hospital and I
have to be there at 8 AM--OMG! 8 AM--on Tuesday August 20th which means
I have to get up at 6 AM to go to the hospital only to go to sleep! LOL

Last,
but not least, it being summertime I am taking a little vacation. I
will still do blogs on new restaurants and new movies and once in awhile
other topics but in most cases I am going to repost some old blogs. I
came across a series I did a couple of years ago called "Summer in Fort
Lauderdale" plus a few from 6-7 years ago that I hope all the people
that haven't read them will enjoy them and others rereading them will
remember them fondly though looking at the names most have left
blogging!!
