Allen
and I met John at the Riverfront downtown at 1 PM for lunch and a
movie. The Palm Grill has a 'lunch special' for $3.99 plus buying a
beverage which in concrete terms means $3.99 plus $2.50 for beverage
plus $.37 tax plus $1.20 for a 20% tip which equals $8.05--for lunch! LOL (We, not being tourists, sat inside--actually everybody sat inside where the a/c was!)
Allen
and I had cheeseburgers with french fries and John had a chicken caesar
salad--I had coffee, Allen a diet soda and John iced tea.

After
that we walked upstairs to go to the 2:15 showing of "Harry Potter and
the Half Blood Prince"--John had a free pass as a bonus on his movie
reward card and Allen and I got in on a $6 coupon. We had a couple of
extra coupons and gave them to people on line saving them some money.

All
in all a pleasant afternoon with a couple of nice guys--after a
depressing couple of days regarding Robert and James I needed today.

When
I got home the birds were getting along which just added to the
pleasure of the day and that was followed meeting with the 'breezeway
gang'--who could ask for anything more?!?!
