The
movie, "17 Again", caught me completely unaware with the last half hour
surprising me when I got completely involved with the story and the
cast.
I am not familiar with Zac Efron having only seen him in "Hairspray" and not really remembering him. I suppose he is 'cute', too cute for me, and is too Disneyfied--hopefully he will mature, grow up and become forceful in a few years.
I had a tough time the first hour with Thomas Lennon who reminded me of Greg Kinnear but not as good looking and not as good an actor but, again, he stepped out as his own man as an actor in the last half hour.

The first hour was full of cliches and mainly a showcase for Efron to show off his cuteness and appeal and Lennon's nerdness. With the exception of Melora Hardin, and that was mainly because of her character, most of the females in the cast were/are forgettable.
Okay,
let's talk about the last half hour--this romantic got so caught up in
the story and the 'action' I felt tears flowing down my checks with all
that was going on.
I don't know how I would rate this movie--2 stars for the first hour and 5 stars for the last 34 minutes--and that's because as a romantic I am a sap for emotions and feelings. I am very ambivalent about this movie as I am glad I saw it but I really don't know if I can/would recommend it!
