Elizabeth Edwards is a true "Steel Magnolia". She is a very strong, gracious lady who does not deserve what life has doled out to her. The loss of her son, the loss of her husband (although that is not much of a loss to my way of thinking) and now the coin has flipped and her surviving children are losing her. We could all learn from Mrs. Edwards.

Nenah, when and how did you fracture your knee? I can't imagine how uncomfortable and bulky it is to have a cast from your foot to your hip. Several years ago I fell off my kitchen counter (I climb all the time 'cause I'm so short) and broke my wrist. The arm cast was a pain to deal with but nothing like what you are experiencing. Take advantage of it while you can and let everyone wait on you...please get me this, please get me that. You know, use it to your advantage. Seriously, get well soon. Congratulations on the great grands!

We are all guilty of living to fast and not slowing down to enjoy life and our friends. Like Scarlett O'Hara, I feel like "Tomorrow is another day" and I always plan on doing it later. I am sorry about the loss of your friend.
