Chet Baker’s worn and ruddy face speaks volumes about his difficult and rough life. Yet, what sensitivity, lyricism and authenticity in this interpretation of “My Funny Valentineâ€: the ultimate version. This was a musician who lived for his art and didn’t care about easy and cheap success. Pity the best always seem to go first.

Now there was a jazz genius. Timely post (even though I'm late reading it).
Loved this, Fredo! Wonderful!
Thank you for this, I enjoyed it.
Very timely song, Fredo. Happy Valentine's Day to you and Mike tomorrow. And Buffy.
