Oh Cracking!!!! I love the 'expression' in your eyes, you are sooo layed back and I am sure you are wondering what your daddy has up his sleeve for you 'next'
Of course, you did the correct thing by putting Dakota first! Influenza, can be deadly. I lost a healthy (non smoking) grown up cousin a couple of years ago because of 'flu. Have you written your 'essay'? Now if it were 'me' having to write it, as well as indicating how I could 'improve' (? !!!) my self, I would subtly put he onus on how 'Walmart' could help 'me' to help 'them' - see what I mean? Mention that a better 'shift' which suits parents with children opposed to 'single' people with no 'family ties'. I am 'union' through and through. I realize that in the US things are different. But surely, if a few more workers who are in the same position (or similar) to you, got together and mentioned your proposals (which would 'help' the running of your particular store), perhaps they would 'wake up and smell the coffee'. The managerial people, must, have similar problems to the workers on the 'shop floor' - it may, help them, in the long run too. Let us know what happens today, Remember too Mary, everything, happens for a purpose. You are probably going to go onto even better, things - never forget that! Congratulations to the happy couple So nice to have the guy do the 'old fashioned' thing - love that! Good that Dakota is over the 'flu - it really pulls the little ones down. Write more soon Mary, missed you here
I completely understand the 'cabin fever anxiety' syndrome!!! I was soooooo fed up with constantly looking at blinking 'snow'! That was a very long 6 -7 weeks!!! It eventually must have been depressing me (without my realizing it) because once January 1st came, I felt so 'jubilant' - Spring is on the horizon, sort of thing. Just in case the 'cherries' are a tad 'past it', I have thoroughly enjoyed your company these last few months . . . . . . . . . . .
Hiya Mary, whatcha been doing? Did you have a good New Year? I do hope so. We had a quiet one, stayed in and watched tv. My next door neighbours let a load of fireworks off - I am so glad that Wolfie wasn't here - he would have had a cardiac! Chloe, just barked at them - such a different temperament. My elder son and his wife (pretty-in-pink, from blogster days) miraculously found out that they are to become parents in May (natural conception - the I.V.F. didn't work for them and so they had 'given up). Well, she had her 6 month scan on Monday and they are going to have a little boy I am sooooooo happy for them - funny though, they had given up on becoming parents and then . . . . . .
Keep well Mary, love and kisses to Dakota too
Surely, the 'Animal Defence League' have got some 'say' in this? I wonder if the 'E.U.' know anything about it? How the heck, can any comparison be drawn between a piece of metal and an living breathing animal?
I have just been on redimpalas blog. It was about the 'date' . . . . . . .
Joss was 18 on : 1 - 11 - 11 . . . . !!!!!
Got to be a lucky omen
My eldest grandson 'came of age' today - he is 18, I hadn't 'picked up' on the date, excellent
We are so looking forward to 'the salad days' return Which wont be too long in arriving - the clocks will alter the month after next YaY! I have a grandfather clock in my line of vision when I am here at my computer. It is secured to the wall so as to avoid any knocks from Chloe our Rottie. As it is 'secured', I never bother to change the 'time' when the clocks do their twice yearly 'change' (the mechanism is at the back), so right now the clock is 'fast' - roll on March, when it will be correct again All my school friends are in London, so I have never kept in contact. It must be great to still be in touch. The work you have to complete before the carpet fitters arrive will be draining on you so close to the recent Christmas festivities & before that the painting, but get a routine and make sure you allow time for 'resting' - if you feel too tired to do it - then leave it till you feel rejuvinated again. Your house will be looking sooooo smart when all is done
Just found this: Genghis Khan had around 500 wives. He had so many children that a recent study showed that 8% of central Asian males were all related to the same Central Asian ancestor from 1,000 years ago, who could be Genghis Khan.
Make sure you both have plenty of warm clothing too
This is an absolute 'gem' Terrific
Thank goodness he was there! Bravo Daniel
Concentrate on planning (and enjoying) your forthcoming cruise. Put all negative thoughts down the toilet, where they belong. There are far more important decisions to make: 'bikini' or 'one piece' / 'heels' or 'flatties' . . . . . . See what I mean? The very best of british luck with the Training opportunity -
