I am the youngest of three, yet because there is a fifteen year age gap between myself and the second sibling, I had always been brought up as an 'only' child.
I had four children, so there was no 'middle sibling' so to speak. Karate is the perfect martial art form in which to learn both physical and mental discipline.

You are probably correct in thinking that your old doctor was booking in patients for the new one to check.
The new doctor is presumably 'still testing the waters' of his new practice - bound to take a little time for him to get into his routine.
I hate it when you take the time to be 'on time' - and end up waiting though - very annoying. I usually sit there and think of what I could have been doing if I had left the house, say a half hour later . . . like 'snoring'

For the last 12 months or so, there has been an increase in the 'cold callers' in our area. These are the people who will come and knock at the door trying to get you to (for example) change your gas/electric/telephone/mobile (cell phone)/window glaxiers, suppliers. If I wanted, to change anything I would do it my self, without these peoples assistance - I have run out of patience with these people and they normally get short shrift from me. Sooooo annoying!

I don't know what it is like in the US, but over here, we are now big in recycling glass, paper and of course 'plastic'. Our rubbish (garbage) collection is not merely remembering to put your dustbin out on the required collection day, but the rubbish also has to be placed in seperate bags according to what type of waste it is. A seperate van comes to collect the bags, after the 'main' truck has sorted out the main 'bin'. It is a little more 'work', but if it is for 'the greater good', then so be it.
